National Safe Abortion Service Day
The National Safe Abortion Service Day is marked each year on 26th September. It was initiated in 2015 to raise awareness on safe abortion. The 11th amendment to the Civil Code on 26 September 2002 opened the way for legal facility for abortion (up to 12 weeks of pregnancy) and up to 18 weeks in unusual cases like rape and incest.
