Partnership Opportunities with Public Health Update for Global health researchers and public health professionals
Public Health Update (formerly known as Sagun’s Blog) is a popular public health web-portal in Nepal. Public Health Update is a reputed platform to search public jobs and opportunities in Nepal. The main purpose of this platform is to share public health updates, information & opportunities for public health professionals all around the world. We are committed & dedicated to deliver accurate, trusted, up-to-date health information & opportunities to all health professionals. It was initiated in 2011. Basically, we are focused to inform & motivate young public health professionals to engage themselves in health events and activities to advocate and promote health.
As a public health agency from a developing country, we are continuously utilizing our knowledge and skills to improve the health and well-being of Nepalese people through raising awareness and advocacy on public health. We are now officially registered as a Public Health Initiative, a creative social enterprise, to conduct various health-related activities in Nepal. The Public Health Initiative will work to serve the community and improve the health status of Nepalese. We are planning to scale up our activities to conduct public health campaigns, health awareness, health promotion, medical camps, school awareness activities, and basic health care services for the people in rural and urban areas of Nepal.
Public Health Tourism is one of the priority areas of the Public Health Initiative. Our aim is to promote health and tourism at the same time and engage international health professionals to achieve our country’s target for Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3).
Nepal is most well-known for its Himalayan mountain range, which offers breathtaking views. Volunteering in Nepal with the Public Health Initiative is an opportunity to engage with Nepalese culture, values, and traditions and learn from a developing country. Engaging with local health facilities, healthcare providers, and community members will give you a unique insight into the healthcare system and practices of a developing country.
Our volunteering program equally encourages foreign health practitioners to spend their time in the Himalayas with some social goals. Volunteers will have a chance to explore Kathmandu, Pokhara, and the nearest attractions, trekking routes, and temples in and around beautiful Pokhara city.
The main objective of this program is to give you the opportunity to learn and improve your public health and medical knowledge through real-life experience in a developing country. This is a unique opportunity provided by the Public Health Initiative to work on Sustainable Development Goal #3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages) by providing health education, awareness, and promotion as well as basic health care services in different communities in Nepal. So, If you want to collaborate in some way, feel free to contact
