Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC) invites submission of abstracts as an oral or poster presentation for the Seventh National Summit of Health and Population Scientists in Nepal (27-28 MAY 2021). The “Seventh National Summit of the Health and Population Scientists in Nepal” is being organized by the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC) with a theme “Research in Public Health Emergencies: Evidence to Policy and Action”.

Objectives 

To promote timely and effective translation of evidence on public health emergencies to relevant  actions and policies

  • To foster networking and knowledge exchange between policy makers and health and population scientists
  • To encourage health and population scientists, and practitioners to collaborate, innovate and promote research on current health priorities in Nepal

Abstract Call

The Scientific Committee for the Seventh National Summit of Health and Population Scientists in Nepal invites the submission of abstracts on following themes for consideration as an oral or poster presentation for the Summit.

  • Public Health Emergencies, including public health response and preparedness to disease outbreaks, natural disasters and other emergencies
  • COVID-19
  • Resilient Health Care Delivery System (Health Services, including access to care and its quality )
  • Essential medical products including pharmaceutical products, pharmacovigilance and rational use of drugs
  • Health Workforce (Human Resources for Health)
  • Universal Health Coverage
  • Health Policy, Management, Leadership, Governance (Stewardship) and policy evidence nexus
  • Health Information technology in health service and research
  • Equity and efficiency in health system
  • Health Economics and Healthcare Financing
  • Ayurveda & Other Traditional and Complementary Medicine
  • Health in altitude including mountain medicine (Physiological changes in different altitudes including mountain medicine)
  • Non-Communicable Diseases
  • Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Dementia
  • Geriatric health
  • Health communication, education and health behaviour
  • Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health
  • Gender Based Violence
  • Population & Population dynamics (fertility, mortality and migration)
  • Communicable Diseases (Infectious & Tropical Diseases including neglected tropical diseases) from one health perspective
  • Nutrition, Food Safety and Security
  • Environmental and Occupational Health (including climate change, indoor air pollution)
  • Emergency, Trauma and Critical care (including Injuries and Accidents)
  • Disabilities
  • Biomedical research
  • Antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
  • Inherited  diseases (including thalassemia, sickle cell disorder, hemophilia, autism)
  • Innovation in health research
  • Surveillance (Cancer, Vector-borne diseases etc.)
  • Public Private Partnership (PPP)
