Overview
The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepal, updated its directives on the School Health and Nursing Service Programme to address implementation challenges and incorporate new initiatives.
The updated guideline introduces the concept of a “health ambassador,” a representative student selected from schools to advocate for health and well-being issues. It also outlines criteria for “health promotion-friendly schools” and proposes governance committees, such as the School Health Coordination Committee and the School Health Unit, to further strengthen the programme.
