Job Description

*This is a fixed term position starting from Jan 2025 until September end 2025*
Here’s where you come in:
This position will be responsible for providing support and coaching to WVIN’s NGO Partners and ensure all NGO Partners adhere required compliances, which includes payment and disbursements; procurement review; monitoring and reporting as per tools with at least 60% visit to the field/Project locations. To ensure stewardship, accountability and transparency in the Finance and SCM sectors through active resourcing and empowerment of PNGOs.
Major Responsibilities
Integrated Knowledge Management Specialist
Support Integrated Knowledge Management Specialist on development, rollout, and improvement of program information management system but are not limited to:
- Support on development of recording and reporting system and test the systems.
- Roll-out the digital recording and reporting system and ensure data are recorded in a timely fashion and with quality.
- Report data on Horizon/iMPAQ system, and other digital platforms as required.
- Ensure data consistency, quality, and accuracy in the integrated dashboard.
- Support other operations on system-related issues
- Support on troubleshooting digital systems
- Digital systems are operationalized and updated as per the guideline for reporting as per donor requirement that also fulfill the WVI requirement.
- Develop monthly data reports on progress made and track monthly progress
- Ensure inclusive data management system
Monitoring Accountability and Learning
Supporting MAL manager and FO MEAL Specialist on the execution of core MEAL functions but are not limited to:
- Support in collecting the most significant change stories and learning stories for the selected objectives and indicators of the projects.
- Ensure the monitoring results are managed in a proper template, format, and streamlined integrated information system in close coordination with Integrated KM Specialist.
- Accountability and QBM system are functional
- Support for an effective functionalization of monitoring and evaluation recommendation tracking system at all the management levels (national office, field office, and partner office).
- Conduct an analysis of monitoring data and produce brief report for monthly, quarterly, semi annual, and annual reporting.
- Prepare a brief analysis product of community feedback reports to share as monthly management reporting.
- Analyze the feedback collection and management systems to provide needful guidance and suggestions to all levels of management team (national office, field office, and partner NGO).
- Support in synthesizing the learnings from field level learning events, evaluations and put those learning into systems for follow ups and reflections.
- Support NO MEAL and FO MEAL in carrying out data quality audit
- Support FO MEAL and PNGO MEAL on core MEAL functions like outcome monitoring, data recording/reporting, system roll- out, designing tools/techniques for data collection etc.
Evidence and Research
Supporting the Evaluation and Research Manager on execution of assessment/studies but are not limited to:
- Support on execution of Baseline and End line of the project
- Support on developing ToR, reviewing report and finalization of baseline and end line report
- Support in ensuring data quality in the field particularly during the primary data collection.
- Support in analyzing the system based data and developing the learning briefs/evidence briefs from the assessment and studies and support in dissemination
Requirements Include:
Required Professional Experience
- Two to three years of experience on MEAL with substantial experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and report writing
- Experience in supporting the assessment/research activities and prepare quality reports.
- Experience of working on and good understanding of Theory of Change, Result framework, logical framework
- Experience with digital data collection systems like Comcare, ODK, etc.
- Experience of working on multi-sectoral themes
Required Education, training, license, registration and certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, information management, statistics, development studies, and other relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Fluent oral and written English and Nepali communication skills
- Knowledge of data analysis software (STATA, SPSS, NViVO, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of digital data collection system and digital data management system
- Knowledge of project log frame and theory of change with strong command on M&E requirements
- Knowledge of accountability systems and community feedback mechanisms
- Familiar with different primary data collection tools and techniques and research methodologies
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in the use of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including survey techniques and participatory approaches. Strong knowledge on basic MEAL functions and Information management system, and data management tools. Strong competency of data analysis and report writing.
Travel and/or Work Environment- 10- 20%
