Asia Pacific Leaders’ Conclave on Malaria Elimination 2023

by Public Health Update

The Asia Pacific Leaders’ Conclave on Malaria Elimination will convene country representatives from Asia Pacific, global partners, and renowned experts in bringing the global health community together to reaffirm commitments and galvanize action to end this ancient disease. This high-level meeting on malaria elimination in Asia Pacific will be chaired by the H’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and is hosted by the Government of India in partnership with Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA).

The Conclave will also be an opportunity to highlight malaria elimination best practices from the region and beyond and promote inter-sectoral collaboration to ensure a ‘whole of system’ approach that accelerates equity and investments towards the 2030 malaria elimination goal.

Countries in the Asia Pacific have made significant advancements, but our fight is far from over. Progress across the region remains uneven. With two billion people still at risk and malaria cases rising in some areas, it is critical that the elimination gains made in the region do not go to waste.

Join us in building pathways for cooperation and best practices to bring us closer to malaria elimination by 2030.

The Conclave will be held on 24 April 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Ring Rd, Bhikaji Cama Place, Rama Krishna Puram, New Delhi 110066. The Conclave will be streamed live on Zoom. In-person attendance is by invitation only, but online participation is open to all.
