Job Description

Helen Keller International is an International non-profit organization (INGO) works to improve the sight and lives of the vulnerable by combatting the causes and consequences of blindness, poor health, and malnutrition through public health approaches, building the capacity of organizations, and contributing to policy changes through systems strengthening and operations research. HKI/Nepal’s nutrition is the largest portfolio. Applications are invited from interested, committed, dynamic team players and experienced Nepali nationals for the following position:

Helen Keller International seeks the following positions for an anticipated Global Undernutrition Program in Nepal. These positions are contingent upon donor funding and approval. The program aims to focus on early diagnosis and treatment of acute malnutrition and will work in three districts of Nepal; Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Nawalparasi West for a period of one year.

Summary of Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing administrative support; program planning, scheduling, and documentation, ensuring that program activities are well-organized and executed; facilitate communication among program stakeholders, internal and external partners; coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure that relevant information is shared on a timely manner; assists on preparing program report, compilation and communication program status.

Qualifications and experiences: 

Bachelor’s degree in public health, social science, or relevant field, preferable master’s degree; minimum 5 years of experience in nutrition/health sectors specially in SAM and IMAM; experience working across all three levels of government; partner management knowledge; good communication skills in English and Nepali (oral and written) and with 80% of field visit.
