Public Policy Pathshala (PPP) has partnered with Australian Government, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), The Asia Foundation – Sub-national Governance Program (SNGP) to promote and strengthen public health system governance at the local level with institutionalization of necessary health legislations and capacitating them on their health sector programming and functions to effectively implement the mandates toward improved access to quality public health services. The project entitled “Strengthening local public & environmental health governance system” aims to enhance the support in formulating and implementing health legislations and policies at the local level by orienting, capacitating, mentoring, and fostering increased accountability and ownership. In this year, the program’s effort is directed towards bolstering public health system governance integrating environment health by fully committing to implementing the project, prioritizing inclusivity, and adopting an environmentally sensitive approach.
