Health and Education Development Center (HEDC) is a local NGO registered in Banke district. HEDC has been working regularly in the sector of girls’ education since 2014 in close partnership with Rural Health and Education Service Trust (RHEST) to support girls at risk. Having strong collaboration with various government and non-government organizations, HEDC is working with community schools and SMCs in different municipalities of Banke and Bardiya for the protection of child rights, reduction of child marriage, human trafficking, and gender-based violence. Further, girls’ empowerment and advocacy are the key components.
