Overview
The USAID-funded Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) Program is searching for potential participants to take part in the DHS Data Processing Procedures Online Course: Data Capture and Editing from June 14- August 6, 2021.
This is a competency-based training and will equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to use procedures and programs effectively during the data capture of a Demographic and Health Survey. Special emphasis will be placed on Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI). Other key aspects of the course will focus on generating all necessary dictionaries, forms, applications, and menus used during the data capture of a DHS survey. This includes all applications that will be used for data capture, data transfer, structure checking, and secondary editing, as well as the menu programs that manage the data collection. Although the course focuses on DHS surveys, the acquired skills are also applicable to other types of surveys. The data capture software to be used during this course is CSPro.
CSPro is a survey processing software package, designed and implemented through a joint effort between the United States Census Bureau and ICF. CSPro is designed to be easy to use yet has the power to support large and complex surveys and censuses.
