Training Quality Improvement Tools 2026

The National Health Training Centre (NHTC) under the Ministry of Health and Population has officially released the second edition of the Training Quality Improvement Tools (QI Tools 2083). This updated package establishes unified standards, verification criteria, and quality assurance processes for health workforce training across all tiers of government and partner organizations.

Key Highlights

• Comprehensive Coverage: Integrates customized QI tools across 74 clinical and non-clinical training packages, spanning maternal and newborn care, emergency critical care, non-communicable diseases (PEN/PEN-Plus), reproductive health, and biomedical equipment maintenance.
• Alignment with National Strategy: Operationalizes Objectives 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 of the National Health Training Strategy (2082–2087 BS) by embedding clear indicators for monitoring, site accreditation, and lifecycle evaluation.
• Full-Lifecycle Quality Assurance: Mandates systematic monitoring across three critical phases: pre-training readiness (infrastructure and materials), in-process execution (curriculum fidelity and practical mentoring), and post-training follow-up (skills application and clinical supervision).
• Unified National Standard: Applies standardized benchmarks across federal, provincial, and local government training hubs, as well as partner-led institutions, ensuring consistent training delivery nationwide.
• Site Accreditation & Regulation: Functions as the primary tool for assessing infrastructure at proposed training sites, conducting periodic site renewals, and maintaining continuous performance improvement.
