Job Description

Geruwa Rural Awareness Association (GERUWA), Bardiya, established in 1991, is a non-profit, non-government, community-based organization. It has been working on WASH, health, disaster management, education, good governance, gender mainstreaming, and livelihood following its five-year strategic plan. To achieve strategic aims 1, 2, and 5, it has been implementing the SAFAL Project (WASH in institutions and communities) in partnership with the Tdh Foundation. GERUWA is looking for dynamic, energetic, and qualified candidate for the following position:

Position: Project Coordinator

Project: SAFAL Project
Required No:1 (One)
Age: Between 21 to 59 years
Duty Station: Geruwa Rural Awareness Association, Gulariya Bardiya

Minimum Academic Qualification and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health and/ or Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the Health and WASH in development sector
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including leading teams at the district level
  • Proven experience working with district and municipal health systems, including coordination and implementation support
  • Experience in engaging with provincial-level government structures, particularly in the health or WASH sectors
  • Experience in designing and/or leading advocacy initiatives related to public health or WASH
  • Experience in the development of strategies, policies, and technical guidelines
  • Experience in managing and providing oversight to field-based implementation teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and supportively within a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) and familiarity with data analysis software
  • Very good English and Nepali communication skills (written and oral)
  • A valid two-wheeler driving license is mandatory.

Type of Exam for the position: Written test, Practical and Interview.
