Job Description
New Era is seeking highly qualified and experienced professionals for the following position:
Position: Health Expert
Activity: USAID Nepal Health Surveys
Reporting To: Chief of Party/Senior Technical Director
Job Status: Contract
Duty Station: USAID Nepal Health Survey Office, Kathmandu with frequent field visit
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Qualifications and Experiences:
- Medical doctor, with a master’s degree in public health.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in senior positions in public health and research.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-cultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- A strong understanding of research methodologies and practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nepal health system and quality of care standards.
Key Competencies:
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
- Strong Liaison and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good training and facilitation skills.
- Strong writing and communication skill in Nepali and English. Proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage
- Adaptability and willingness to travel across Nepal for fieldwork.
