Youth Activists Leadership Council (YALC) is a group of 10 youth activists of diverse background and identities, aged 16 to 24, who advocate at the local and national level for improved sexual and reproductive health policies that support reproductive health, family planning services, comprehensive sexuality education and programs that support meaningful youth participation. Council members advocate by raising issues of SRHR and CSE through peer to peer approach, blogs, social media and social campaign.
Youth Activist Leadership Council is a platform where young people can learn about issues around CSE and SRHR, design and implement programs, build networks and capacitate themselves and become change makers in the community. The council members serve as youth advocates, educators and spokespersons on the issues of adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
This call is open for young people residing in Kathmandu valley. YALC is a voluntary based program with a weekly commitment of about 7-10 hours. The selected YALC members will be provided with a basic stipend. It is an annual program and the YALC members will be engaged under this for 10 months from initial call of application.
