Research Project Coordinator & Research Assistant – Dhulikhel Hospital,KU: Research & Development Division, Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Hospital invites application for dynamic, competent, hardworking and highly qualified candidates for the following positions willing to take up challenges for the position for the project entitled “A cluster randomized trial of an mHealth integrated model of hypertension, diabetes and antenatal care in primary care settings in India and Nepal”.

Position: Research Project Coordinator
Required no.: 1
Qualification Required Competencies and Responsibilities
Qualification and Required Competencies:

  1. Nepalese Citizen with
    a.MD Community Medicine with at least 1 year experience in relevant subject
    or
    b.PhD in Public Health with at least 1 year experience in clinical research or the relevant subject
  2. Have involved in either national or international research project
  3. Sound knowledge and experience of research, methodology and analysis, information gathering system
  4. Excellent communication skills and digital literacy
  5. Committed to invest the required time and willing to build a career in maternal health research
  6. Good command in scientific writings 

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the research project
  2. Conduct all research activities, training programs,  and workshops in coordination with the investigators
  3. Manage the overall project
  4. Monitor, evaluate and ensure the correct implementation of the project
  5. Guide and support the local staffs in the rural health centers of Dhulikhel Hospital

Position: Research Assistant  

Required no. 2

Qualification and Required Competencies:

  1. Nepalese Citizen with either MPH with at least 3 years of experience or MBBS+MPH with 2 years of experience in relevant subject
  2. Preference will be given to those who have prior clinical exposure in addition to the research
  3. Have conducted research in Nepal
  4. Excellent communication skills and digital literacy
  5. Committed to invest the required time and willing to build a career in maternal health research 

Responsibilities:

  1. Regularly visit and monitor the sites
  2. Development of study tools, pilot testing, coordinating with the software team
  3. Coordinate with the field investigators and oversee the implementation and conduct of trial activities (recruitment and follow ups) and be involved in qualitative data collection
  4. The research assistant will be responsible for the data management in coordination with the project manager

Job Type: Fixed term contract
