Burns Violence Survivors (BVS-N) is a non-governmental organization. BVS-N is a pioneering and the only organization so far working with solely focusing on burns and acid violence in Nepal. It works at all levels from ground to government, from individual to community. BVS-N is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated applicant for the position of Program Manager for the project period of 1 year.

Position Title: Program Manager
No. of Vacancy: 1
Location: Kathmandu with frequent visit to project Area
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: Negotiable
Project Period: 1 year duration with the possibility of extension

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology or Public Health
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project support
  • Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement, experience in monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Experience in the filing, report writing and documentation
  • Must be fluent in written English
  • Sound in using computer applications (MS Office, Excel and power-point)
  • Good interpersonal skills

Key area of Accountability:

  • Project follow up/ monitoring the mobile and existing libraries
  • Monitoring of the hospitals and some patients
  • Monitoring of the representative of District Health Office
  • Organize the monthly meeting with staff
  • Develop semester and annual report to the donor
  • Develop the final report to the donor
  • Obtaining agreement with the Districts Hospitals, and District Health Office (DHO) for the implementation of the training
  • Assessment of the quality of registration and information collection for the Burn Patients in the district
  • Design of a training handbook
  • Identification of the location of the training
  • Design of the agenda’s training/ invitation letters+send+confirmation
