Maternal Newborn Child Health and GESI Officer – CARE Nepal: CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 39 years. It currently works in 60 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, reaching hard to reach population, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like-minded actors, and evidence based advocacy.
CARE Nepal hereby invites applications, for the below mentioned positions, from interested Nepalese candidates for a five-year integrated nutrition project, Suaahara Program II (SP II) which is being funded by USAID and implemented in the lead of Helen Keller International, in 40 districts of Nepal. The SP II is a following to the Suaahara Project with the goal of improving the nutritional status of women and children in Nepal.
Maternal Newborn Child Health and GESI Officer (3nos, based in Lamjung, Bhojpur and Syangja)
Key responsibilities: The MNCH & GESI Officers will be responsible to provide technical support to the project team and partners in the process of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy of project approaches and activities especially the Health Services component and GESI integration across project scope of work. S/he will be required to provide technical support in designing package and implementation of MNCH activities, collect & document relevant case studies, process documentation as part of disseminating project’s effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health/Nursing or a relevant degree with 2 years of work experience in maternal, newborn and child health and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI).
