Job Title : Health Financing and Evidence Analyst
Department : Research and Innovation
Reporting to : Research Manager/Project Lead
Job status : Initially up to the end of March (possibility of extension up to 2 years)
Working hours : 40 hours per week
Job Assignment : Central Office, with frequent field visits
SCOPE OF WORK:
The Health Financing and Evidence Analyst will work closely with the Data Science and Research teams to analyze and synthesize evidence that informs health financing and fiscal policy, supporting HERD International’s research project implementation. The role involves analyzing datasets, collaborating with stakeholders to inform policy discussions, and conducting statistical and economic analyses.
The Analyst will also create clear visualizations to communicate findings, support capacity building to enhance data literacy among team members and municipal partners, ensure compliance with research and data standards, and contribute to integrating project data systems for efficient processing and evidence generation.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
These foundational qualifications and experiences ensure the Health Financing and Evidence Analyst can effectively contribute to HERD International’s Research Team and its data-driven initiatives.
- Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience in health systems and financing with sound analytical skills and evidence synthesis and stakeholder engagement.
- Understanding and Knowledge: Clear understanding of Nepal’s health system, public financing mechanisms, and NCD-related policy frameworks.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Sensitivity to Gender and Cultural Considerations: Commitment to gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in policy and research practices.
