This technical assistance aligns with those priorities by focusing on community- and family-based TB care models. It builds on previous grant cycles and policy: while CB/FB-DOTS guidelines exist in Nepal, roll-out has been partial (coverage in select districts). The GC7 funding request explicitly calls for shifting from facility-based DOT to more patient-centered models (community- and family-based DOTS) and exploring digital adherence technologies (DATs) to improve adherence. These community-based approaches have been shown to be feasible and effective in Nepal. The consultant will therefore help the NTP and partners assess current CB/FB-DOTS implementation and develop practical, costed plans to scale them up in line with GC7 and national strategies

iDE is an international nonprofit organisation dedicated to ending poverty. Our work in agriculture, sanitation, climate change resilience, and gender equality stands out because we don’t simply hand out handouts. Instead, iDE believes in powering small-scale entrepreneurs and building robust market ecosystems that lay the groundwork for low-income and marginalised people to prosper on their own terms. iDE currently works in 11 developing countries, with over 500 staff spread around the globe. To date, iDE has impacted more than 40 million people.

Since 1992, iDE Nepal has been actively fostering prosperity by establishing value chains and innovative business models in key sectors, including agriculture, nutrition, market systems development, water and sanitation, climate resilience, and gender equality. Our approach aims to catalyse the development of beneficial, cost-effective products and services that contribute to sustainable growth and enhanced well-being. Our long-standing presence in Nepal is a testimony to adaptive learning, continual innovation, and commitment to delivering meaningful impact. iDE Nepal’s holistic approach to market development is what truly sets us apart.

iDE Nepal is currently seeking a Climate and Nutrition Lead to join our Programs Unit. The Climate and Nutrition Lead is a senior strategic position responsible for leading iDE Nepal’s climate and nutrition agenda to improve nutrition outcomes and strengthen climate resilience, including adaptation, mitigation, and regenerative practices to protect livelihoods and sustain nutrition gains.

Overall Responsibilities

The Climate and Nutrition Lead at iDE Nepal provides strategic and technical leadership to advance nutrition-sensitive, climate-resilient food systems. The role drives organizational strategy by aligning programs with national priorities, leads business development and fundraising for innovative, market-based nutrition and resilience initiatives, and guides effective project delivery in compliance with donor standards. It also strengthens private sector engagement, fosters partnerships, and pilots scalable solutions that improve access to nutrient-dense foods and smallholder resilience. Additionally, the role promotes evidence-based learning, builds internal and partner capacity, and represents iDE Nepal in key national and global platforms to influence policy, mobilize resources, and position the organization as a leader in nutrition and climate resilience.

The potential candidate must embrace and embody our organization’s values and market-based approaches, as we pride ourselves on designing bespoke innovative solutions in sectors such as nutrition, climate resilience, agriculture, and WASH.

The Arnhold Institute for Global Health at Mount Sinai and the Department of Global Health and Health System Design is seeking an experienced and dedicated leader to serve as the In-Country Executive Director for the AMPATH Nepal partnership. Based in Dhulikhel, Nepal, the In-Country Executive Director for AMPATH Nepal provides strategic, operational, and partnership leadership for the replication of the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) with our partners at Dhulikhel Hospital (DH), Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), Mount Sinai, and the AMPATH Global Consortium. Together with our partners and Institute leadership, the In-Country Executive Director will work to advance our strategic priorities for the AMPATH Nepal partnership, expand resources, funding, and infrastructure to achieve program objectives, grow care, education, and research engagement, and work to advance and strengthen care systems to address community health needs and priorities in Nepal.

The role also encompasses leadership in grant development and the design and oversight of trainee exchanges and educational initiatives. The In-Country Executive Director is accountable for tracking and reporting on key performance metrics—including funding, participation, scholarly output, and care impact—and for leading annual planning and budgeting processes to support the continued growth and effectiveness of Mount Sinai’s global health efforts in Nepal.

Highly competitive candidates will have a clinical care background focused on delivering care in low-resource settings to underserved communities.
About the Mount Sinai Health System:

Mount Sinai Health System is one of the largest academic medical systems in the New York metro area, with more than 48,000 employees working across eight hospitals, more than 400 outpatient practices, more than 300 labs, a school of nursing, and a leading school of medicine and graduate education. Mount Sinai advances health for all people, everywhere, by taking on the most complex health care challenges of our time — discovering and applying new scientific learning and knowledge; developing safer, more effective treatments; educating the next generation of medical leaders and innovators; and supporting local communities by delivering high-quality care to all who need it. Through the integration of its hospitals, labs, and schools, Mount Sinai offers comprehensive health care solutions from birth through geriatrics, leveraging innovative approaches such as artificial intelligence and informatics while keeping patients’ medical and emotional needs at the center of all treatment. The Health System includes more than 9,000 primary and specialty care physicians; 13 joint-venture outpatient surgery centers throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Long Island, and Florida; and more than 30 affiliated community health centers. We are consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals, receiving high “Honor Roll” status, and are highly ranked: No. 1 in Geriatrics, top 5 in Cardiology/Heart Surgery, and top 20 in Diabetes/Endocrinology, Gastroenterology/GI Surgery, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology/Lung Surgery, Rehabilitation, and Urology. New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai is ranked No. 12 in Ophthalmology. U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” ranks Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital among the country’s best in several pediatric specialties. The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is ranked No. 11 nationwide in National Institutes of Health funding and in the 99th percentile in research dollars per investigator according to the Association of American Medical Colleges. Newsweek’s “The World’s Best Smart Hospitals” ranks The Mount Sinai Hospital as No. 1 in New York and in the top five globally, and Mount Sinai Morningside in the top 20 globally.
