DIPLOMA IN TROPICAL MEDICINE & INTERNATIONAL HEALTH (DTMIH) at the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine (DIDTM)

The aim of the  from the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine is to improve the health for populations in low- and middle-income countries by training international health professionals in research methods. We offer this program to qualified health care professionals with good English knowledge.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Prepare health professionals who plan to work in low- and middle-income-settings
  • Enable participants to manage health problems in low- and middle-income-settings
  • Enable participants to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases which are prevalent in low-and
    middle-income-settings
  • Create an understanding of stakeholders and policies in global and local contexts
  • Empower participants to generate knowledge and allow for informed decision making through the
    use of scientific tools
  • Empower participants to employ research methods

  • A qualification in a health care profession from a recognized school or university (please add
    as scan to your application)
  • Good standard of spoken and written English (equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages level B2 as a minimum)
